Glacier's Edge Council, Scouting America
About Ed Bryant Scout Reservation
A century of Scouting tradition on the shores of Castle Rock Lake, Wisconsin — shaping character, building skills, and forging friendships that last a lifetime.
Our History
Ed Bryant Scout Reservation has been a cornerstone of Scouting in south-central Wisconsin since the mid-20th century. Named in honor of longtime council leader Ed Bryant, the reservation sits on over 200 acres of pristine Wisconsin wilderness along the shores of Castle Rock Lake — one of the largest lakes in the state.
What began as a modest summer camp has grown into a full-service Scout reservation offering 50+ merit badge programs, high-adventure activities, and leadership development experiences for thousands of Scouts each year. Through decades of growth, the mission has never changed: to provide a safe, inspiring outdoor environment where young people discover their potential.
Our Mission
To provide an exceptional outdoor Scouting experience that challenges young people to grow in character, citizenship, and personal fitness — guided by the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Safety First
Every program, every day is designed with the highest standards of youth safety and Scouting America guidelines.
Outdoor Excellence
Castle Rock Lake and 200 acres of Wisconsin wilderness are our classroom — we use them fully.
Inclusive Community
Every Scout, regardless of background or experience level, belongs here and can thrive.
Staff Dedication
Our trained, passionate staff return year after year because they believe in the mission.
